Entire Sunni community hails the third Shia Imam as the only brave martyr in the history who sacrificed his life as his household witnessed in order to counter oppression and tyranny.

Molavi Es’haq Madani, member of the Supreme Council at the World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought in an interview with Taqrib News Agency (TNA) conducted on the eve of Arba’een stressed the loyalty of Sunni community for Imam Hussein (AS), third Shia Imam and grandson of Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) and solidarity of the Muslims from different denominations during the Arba’een march.
 
He said,” Sunni community unanimously believes Imam Hussein (AS) as the only brave martyr in the history who sacrificed his life as his household witnessed in order to counter oppression and tyranny.”
 
Iranian Sunni scholar also referred to active participation of the Iranian minority group in annual Arba’een ceremonies along with their Shia brothers and stressed the loyalty of Sunni Muslims for the household of Prophet Mohammad (PBUH).
 
Molavi Es’haq Madani made the comments on the eve of the great march of Arba’een which is annually attended by millions of Muslims and non-Muslims from across the globe heading for the holy shrine of the third Shia Imam in Karbala, Iraq.
 
Imam Hussein (AS) and 72 of his companions and household members were martyred in the Battle of Karbala back in 632 AH when fighting the tyrant ruler of the time Yazid ibn Muawiyah.
