“Love of Imam Hussein (AS), unites us”

Ayatollah Mohsen Araki, former secretary general of the World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought in a recent note has highlighted the capacities of Muharram ceremonies and loyalty of Muslims from all Islamic denominations as the basis to strengthen Islamic unity, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).

The cleric called for utmost attention to Islamic unity in the Muslim world status quo and said,” Amid the present situation when both intrigues and hypocrisy from within the Islamic nation and hostility from outside of Muslim world are challenging opportunities for proximity of Muslims, it is very important to maintain Imam Hussein (AS) and loyalty of Muslims for the third Shia Imam as means to boost Islamic unity.”

The cleric hailed Imam Hussein (AS) and his companions for creating an eternal epic full of humane moments to stand against oppression and injustice” and added,” Attention to the Islamic landmark and messages of Ashura can revive honor of Muslims and boost the morale for resistance against oppression.”

“Love of Imam Hussein (AS) should not be confined merely within one particular group of Muslims leaving the rest deprived of the privilege rather it should be revived in the entire world of Islam” said Ayatollah Mohsen Araki.

Former secretary general of the World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought called all Muslims to endeavor for revival of Ashura and the third Shia Imam (AS) in line with boosting proximity and struggle to strengthen unity of Muslim.
