Algiers hosts festival of Mediterranean religious traditions

Cultural festival on religious traditions in the Mediterranean region has been held in the Algerian capital of Algiers focusing on the Islamic approach of the culture.


The Algerian capital of Algiers has hosted cultural festival on traditions in the Mediterranean region focusing on the traditions and ceremonies of Islam; Taqrib News Agency (TNA) has reported Hawza News as saying.
 
Participants from more than 10 African countries and some Persian Gulf Arab countries convened in Algiers on September 16th to shed more light on the Islamic traditions among many other religions practiced in the Mediterranean region.
The two-day event gathered prominent figures, cultural and tourism ministers from the Mediterranean countries and also authorities from the hosting country discussing cultural and religious challenges.
 
Participants also exchanged views on the contemporary changes in dressing codes of Muslim nations and the shift in dressing taste of the younger generation.
 
Algiers, Lebanon, Egypt, Morocco and Libya are among the countries on the Mediterranean coast.
