Hujjat-ul-Islam Seyyed Mahdi Alizadeh, director of al-Bayan Institute in Iran, in an interview with Taqrib News Agency (TNA) named Islamic unity as an objective of Iran’s Islamic Revolution alluding to the late Imam Khomeini (RA) and the Supreme Leader of Islamic Republic calling Islamic unity as the shared axis followed by all Muslims.
He said,” We have shared principles making the most fundamental ideologies providing the grounds for unity among Muslims as were pursued by our prominent figures through the history of Islam.”
The cleric added,” Some Islamic rituals play a key role in boosting solidarity among Muslims among them the congregational rituals including prayers, Jihad (struggle for Almighty God) as they summon Muslims to join forces for collective moves though the most important manifestations to strengthen proximity in the Islamic nation is Hajj.”
He expressed regret over the minor and major issues in the world of Islam including ethnical, sectarian and tribal crises which have led to dispersion among Islamic denominations.
“However, we find even those hostile with each other leaving all disagreements aside during Hajj” he said and hailed the unification of Hajj pilgrims during the ceremony.
He counted monotheism as the common spot among all Muslims stressing that the asset should be protected by all Muslims.
