Iranian jurisprudent calls Hajj pilgrims to respect Saudi sanctities

Saudi Arabia favors division of Hajj pilgrimage from political issues and that should be so in order to prevent any problem during the annual event.


Ayatollah Nasser Makarem Shirazi, senior Iranian Shia jurisprudent met with Seyyed Abdul Fattah Navvab, representative of the Supreme Leader in Hajj and pilgrimage affairs and called on Saudi Arabia to respect Iranian Hajj pilgrims who should maintain mutual respect for Saudi sanctities, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
 
He said,” Saudi Arabia should regard Iranian Hajj pilgrims as we should maintain respect for their sanctities” stressing that clerics leading Hajj pilgrims should recommend them to follow proper behavior during the pilgrimage.
 
 He noted the importance of reform which should change Muslims performing Hajj.
 
The cleric stressed necessity of teaching the Hajj pilgrims on the rites to be performed and also making the best for utmost spiritual achievements during the annual ceremony.
