Senior Iranian cleric on two-day visit to Turkey has met with leader of Tunisia’s Ennahda movement on the sideline of the opening ceremony for biggest mosque in Istanbul on Saturday.

Ayatollah Mohsen Araki, secretary general of the World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought has met with Rachid el-Ghannouchi on the sideline of the opening ceremony of Camcila Mosque in Istanbul calling on the Tunisian figures to stand against the US plan on ‘deal of century’, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
 
Iranian cleric in this meeting hailed the Tunisian people’s support for the Palestinian nation and said,” That is the very reason Tunisian authorities and elites are expected to firmly stand against the US and its heinous plan on ‘deal of century.”
 
Secretary General of Iran’s World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought proposed Tunisia hosting a conference of religious figures from the world of Islam to discuss the ways against the US so-called ‘deal of century’ and push its proponents back.
 
Rachid el-Ghannouchi welcomed proposals made by Ayatollah Araki vowing that the ‘deal of century’ will never materialize.
 
The meeting between Ayatollah Mohsen Araki, secretary general of prominent Islamic unity center in Iran and leader of Tunisia’s Ennehda Movement was made on the sideline of the opening ceremony of Camcila Mosque in Istanbul.
