“Loyalty for Ahlul Bayt (AS), symbol for Muslim unity”, cleric

Top Iranian cleric attended the first convention of Shia and Sunni Sayyids held in Hormozgan province hailed the affection of Muslims from different denominations for Ahlul Bayt (AS), household of Prophet Mohammad (PBUH).

Hujjat-ul-Islam Seyyed Hamed Alam-ul-Hoda, deputy of Iran affairs at the World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought, highlighted affection for the household of Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) as an important symbol for solidarity of Shia and Sunni Muslims, Taqrib News Agency (TNA) quoted IRNA as saying.
 
He referred to genealogy of the Sayyids dating back to pre-Islam era adding that the present history of the Sayyids relates them all to the prophet of Islam (PBUH).
 
The cleric slammed the enemies of Islam to annihilate the descendents of Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) though the Almmighty God intended to expand this generation through Hazrat Zahra (AS), daughter of Prophet Mohammad (PBUH).
 
Hujjat-ul-Islam Alam-ul-Hoda lauded the meeting of Shia and Sunni Sayyids launched since two years ago at the initiation of the secretary general of the World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought.
 
The first meeting of Shia and Sunni Sayyids was held in the Iranian southern province of Hormozgan attended by religious luminaries and dignitaries from across the country.
