Islamic Denominations University educating messengers of proximity

Hujjat-ul-Islam Mohammad Hussein Mokhtari, president of Iran’s University of Islamic Denominations met with a delegation of Syrian university professors led by director of the University of Damascus stressing the objective of Iranian academy to be educating messengers of Islamic proximity, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).

Hujjat-ul-Islam Mokhtari in this meeting referred to the objectives of the University of Islamic Denominations to convene followers of different Islamic denominations in the same educational atmosphere.

He hailed the initiation of the Supreme Leader to launch an academy in line with boosting solidarity of Islamic denominations and hiring Shia and Sunni scholars to educate followers of all Islamic denominations.

Hujjat-ul-Islam Mokhtari lauded the scientific and scholarly activities of the World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought for enlightenment of the younger generation warning of enemies plots against Muslim unity.

According to the cleric, former Iraqi Prime Minister Haidar al-Ebadi had sent an academic delegate to Iran’s University of Islamic Denominations stressing the necessity of a similar university in post-Daesh era Iraq.

Hujjat-ul-Islam Mokhtari gave a trophy of the University of Islamic Denomination to Mohammad Mahir al-Kabakibi, president of the University of Damascus and both sides signed the MoU for mutual cooperation on educational activities.
