Hujjat-ul-Islam Seyyed Reza Taghavi, member of the Friday prayer leaders' council lauded the standing unity among Shiite and Sunnis in Islamic republic of Iran noting, "Shiite and Sunni people work in tandem to defend Islamic revolution," reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
 
The religious thinker went on to stress, "Participation of Sunni people in various events like presidential election in Iran indicates their trust to the system"

The presence of Sunnis along with Shiites in all scenes of defending the Islamic Revolution (marches, confronting threats, declaring domestic and international stances ...) is a sign of solidarity and manifestations of Shia and Sunni unity in the country.
