Senior Iranian Sunni scholar highlighted importance of unity among Muslims warning of constant plots by enemies of Islam.

Molana Motahari, manager of Ahnaf Seminary, stressed Islamic solidarity as a present necessity for Muslim world calling all to unite in a bid to prevent hostile plots against Islam, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
 
The cleric said,” Muslims should unite in an effort to prevent arrogant powers hatching plots and spark sectarian rift among them.”
 
Iranian Sunni scholar added,” Sanctities are important to followers of every denomination” quoting the Supreme Leader of Islamic Revolution as,” Unity does not necessitate Shia or Sunni to convert from his denomination rather they are demanded to maintain their beliefs and stand together.”
 
He stressed,” To follow fair thoughts of each other, tolerate and trust other Muslims are what matter the most.”
 
Top Sunni scholar noted solidarity as the means for peace and warned of the inappropriate situation in countries suffering from insecurity.
 
The cleric also touched upon the Islamic unity week referring to the lifestyle of Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) as the most important necessity which should be pursued by Muslims across the globe.
 
Sunni cleric hailed the inspiration by the late founder of Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Khomeini to call the week concurrent with birth anniversary of Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) as Islamic Unity Week calling that an opportunity for Shia and Sunni communities to come closer with each other.
