2 Dec 2018 - 12:43

Turkish top official met with Iran’s head of Organization of Culture and Islamic Relations highlighting necessity of a campaign against Islamophobia as a top priority for Muslim world.

Ali Erbas, Turkey’s Directorate of Religious Affairs met with Abouzar Torkaman, head of the Organization of Culture and Islamic Relations, stressing necessity of confrontation with Islamophobia and those who have no knowledge of the holy religion, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).

He called for exchange of any documents on the nature of true Islam for distribution in the media and cyber networks.

Turkish official warned of serious activities by Christian missionaries as a challenge ahead of Islam and said,” The number of Christians has increased by five times since 1950 and the reason for that is active role of Christian preachers in promoting the religion.”

Professor Erbas called for more cooperation between the two religious and cultural institutes from Iran and Turkey and added,” As Muslims we might have minor differences though we should make use of them as an opportunity to stand against enemies.”

Turkish top figure also counted Quds as another important issue for the world of Islam and said,” We have expanded our activities to raise awareness over the issue of Quds following the US embassy relocation to Jerusalem” demanding Iran to introduce Quds in the world.
