Holy Al-Askariyyah shrine marks anniversary of terror attack
Holy shrine of Imam al-Askariyya has held an exhibition of historical objects and remnants of the terror attack against the shrine concurrent with the 13th anniversary of the incident.

Remnants of the terror attack against the holy shrine and also charters from Samarra heritage center are on the show in this exhibition.
The three-day exhibition has been widely welcome by massive number of visitors from across the globe beginning to gather in Iraq ahead of Arbaeen ceremonies (40th day after martyrdom of Imam Hussein (AS) and his companions.)
A number of ancient charters on old and contemporary history of the holy city attract the visitors to the history of the region.
A collection of pictures also show the terror attack and reconstruction of the holy shrine following the incident.
Highly respected among Muslims the holy shrine of Imam al-Askari, 11th Shia Imam and grandson of Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) was badly damaged in a terror attack on February 22, 2006.
