"Imam Hussain (PBUH) did not pledge allegiance to his time tyrant, Yazid, setting an example of resistance against oppression and injustice for human kind worldwide," pointed out Hojjatol Islam Val Moslemin Naser Rafiei urging Muslims nations to take Ashoura and its lesson as a model, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
Beckoned to the main philosophy of Karbala Tragedy, the religious cleric stressed the infallible Imam sought to "enjoin what is good and forbid what is evil," inviting the whole Islamic Ummah to back to the right track and give their consummate attention to this necessity in Islam religion.
Hojjatol Islam Val Moslemin Naser Rafiei hailed Imam Hussein's (PBUH) immense contribution to the cause of Islam religion stressing what the infallible Imam did was actually following the traditions of his grandfather Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and my father, Imam Ali (PBUH).
Needless to say, Imam Hussein (PBUH) is deeply respected and revered by Muslims and non-Muslims across the globe.
Every year Muslims from around the world hold religious mourning ceremonies for the third Shia Imam who was martyrdom in the desert of Karbala.
Following the copious invitations sent by the people of Kufa to Imam Hussein, he headed for that city to rule them. However, they betrayed him and left him alone facing the army of Yazid, the self-proclaimed Caliph of the time, who sought to win his allegiance by force. In the inequitable war that ensued, the army of Yazid killed Imam Hussein and 72 of his companions ruthlessly and took their families hostage.
