Imam Hussein (AS), defender of oppressed people

Leader of religious minority group has hailed the high character of third Shia Imam expressing esteem for Imam Hussein (AS) on the eve of Ashura mourning ceremony.


Rostam Kavousian zadeh, top Zoroastrian mobad from Iran, has stressed loyalty of the minority group for third Shia Imam saying a person who sacrificed his family to defend the oppressed people deserves the highest esteem, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
 
Iranian cleric referred to importance of solidarity between different religious groups in the country naming Yazd among the cities manifesting the unparalleled unity between Zoroastrians, Muslims and Jews leading fraternal life in the city since long.
 
Rostam Kavousian zadeh also referred to the uprising of Imam Hussein (AS), third Shia Imam and grandson of Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) and reiterated necessity of unity between Iranian people in line with objectives of the Islamic Revolution and Supreme Leader of Islamic Republic Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei.
 
Nearly 6’000 people in the Iranian southern Province of Yazd are followers of Zoroastrianism with a representative in the Parliament.
 
Zoroastrian cleric made the remarks on the eve of Ashura, martyrdom anniversary of Imam Hussein (AS) who was martyred by the tyrant of the time in the battle of Karbala back in 680 AD.
