‘Iran’s proximity activities, role model for Muslim countries’, cleric

Prominent Iranian cleric has hailed proximity activities in Iran saying that could make perfect role model across the world of Islam.


Hujjat-ul-Islam Yahya Jahangiri, deputy of international students’ affairs at Iran’s University of Islamic Denominations (UID) stressed that admitting scholars from different countries is a priority for the Iranian academy, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
 
As the cleric announced admission of 30 students from Asian, African and European countries in the new educational year 2018-2019 to the University of Islamic Denominations, he referred to special attention of the Supreme Leader for the international activities of the Islamic academy to focus on international cooperation for student swap programs and training scholars to expand the culture of proximity in the international arena.
 
The cleric referred to admitting international students as future forces for the academy as the mission of University of Islamic Denominations and called Islamic Republic of Iran as the role model for the entire world of Islam.
 
Hujjat-ul-Islam Jahangiri stressed programs for granting scholarships for international students from different countries.
 
University of Islamic Denominations aims to maintain the lifestyle of Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) activities of the Islamic seminaries in early Islam based on the principle of proximity. To train a generation of elites and Muslim researchers, training professors on Islamic studies and preachers as well as proximity figures are among objectives of the major Islamic academy in Iran.
