Ayatollah Nasser Makarem Shirazi, senior Iranian scholar met with a group of Sunni elites from Kurdistan Province warning of disagreements as deadly poison for Islamic nation, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
 
He alluded to holy Qur’an on necessity of Islamic unity and said,” Once Muslims are united in a body, no power can dominate them.”
 
The cleric warned of hostile plots to divide Islamic nation and said,” Enemies are in pursuit of sparking conflicts amongst Islamic nation” expressing regret over the current situation in Iraq and Syria.
 
Ayatollah Makarem demanded all Islamic groups to resolve their disagreements and stressing commonalities urging different denominations to stand vigilant against plots.
 
“Enemies recognize Islam against their illegal interests” noted the scholar and urged Muslims to join for foiling hostile plots.
 
Professor of Qom Seminary hailed the commonalities of Islamic nation to exceed the disagreements and recommended to thwart plots by highlighting the commonalities, following guidelines of Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) and Ahlul Bayt (AS).
 
Ayatollah Nasser Makarem Shirazi praised the Sunni community in Kurdistan as lively, prosperous and influential in the Islamic Revolution and marked the martyrs of the western Iranian province.
