Sheikh Mohammad Mawed, spokesman for Scholars’ Council of Palestine, called for protection of historical and religious sites in Palestine warning of Zionist regime efforts to eliminate history of Muslims, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
He stressed necessity of protecting religious sanctities in Palestine, particularly al-Aqsa Mosque, as the first Qibla (praying direction) for Muslims and said the holy site belongs to all Muslims from across the globe.
He noted that the US President’s decision to relocate American embassy in Jerusalem al-Quds is in line with Judaization of al-Quds Mosque and formation of Jewish government.
Palestinian scholar highlighted the role of Muslim scholars in motivating the people to defend the religious sanctities and preventing disrespect of the Jewish community against holy sites.
Spokesman for Scholars’ Council of Palestine stressed,” Zionists have no history in Jerusalem al-Quds or al-Quds Mosque though they induce misinformation to the people.”
He said the Western Wall is in fact named as Buraq Wall belonging to Muslims and added,” Zionists have totally destroyed Islamic sites to build up their fake history.”
