‘Hajj, opportunity to avert disagreements’, cleric

As Muslims from across the globe head for the annual congregation of Muslims, Hajj, top Lebanese cleric hailed the major Islamic pilgrimage as opportunity to avoid disagreements between Muslim communities.

Hujjat-ul-Islam Sheikh Hassan Abdullah, mufti of Tyre and Jabal Amel in Lebanon meeting with Lebanese Hajj pilgrims praised the major pilgrimage as an opportunity to settle disagreements and called dialogue as the best Islamic solution, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
 
He said,” God Almighty has set Hajj an opportunity for dialogue and settling hostilities.”
 
According to the cleric disagreements and warmongering deviate Islamic nation, enervate the religion, devaluate its mission and also feeding hostility against Islamic nations like Palestine.
 
Lebanese top scholar in another part of his speech called for more attention of Hajj pilgrims to notice spirituality and ethical growth saying,” To maintain ethical and religious issues provide an accurate image of Islam and Hajj rituals.”
 
One of the five pillars of Islam and biggest Islamic congregation, Hajj, is performed between 8-13 Dhul Hajjah every year. This year the ritual will commence on Sunday, 19th of August 2018 and will continue till Friday, 24th of August 2018. This is the tentative date as the actual date is contingent on the sighting of the moon of Dhul Hijjah.
