Two Chinese universities to include Persian language to syllabus
Persian and Urdu languages will be included in the syllabus at two Chinese universities from summer semester.

According to an official document which published recently, the two Chinese universities in northwest of China and in autonomous territory of Xinjiang will add Urdu and Persian languages to their bachelor courses.

From the summer semester, student register will begin from across China at the Universities of Shihezi and Xinjiang.

It is worth mentioning that in addition to Iran, Persian language is an official language in Tajikistan and Afghanistan.

Urdu is the official language in Pakistan.

Currently, six universities in China offer Persian language as one of their majors that led to about 500 people gain valuable skills in this language.
