A magnitude 5.2 earthquake hits the Iranian city of Malard in Tehran province.

The quake hit on Wednesday at 23:27 local time (1957 GMT) at a depth of seven kilometers on the border of Tehran and Alborz provinces.

There have been no immediate reports of casualties or damage.

People have gathered in streets and parks since the early moments after the quake.

 The quake was also felt in the cities of Karaj, Qom, Qazvin and Arak.

On Sunday November 12th, magnitude 7.3 earthquake struck Kermanshah Province killing over 400 people marking the deadliest quake in the world this year.
