Scholars, statesmen join in counter-terrorism campaign
Afghan participant to the 31st Islamic Unity Conference stressed that security of Afghanistan will guarantee the security of regional countries because terrorism in Afghanistan is jeopardy for the whole world.

Faiz Mohammad Uthmani, Afghan minister of Hajj and endowments, in his speech at the opening ceremony of the 31st Islamic Unity Conference demanded scholars and statesmen should join in a front against extremism, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
He said," Afghan nation, in beating former Soviet Union, proved part of their capabilities the achievement was not maintained after that; therefore, the country moved towards civil war."
He hailed the efforts of Afghan nation for reconstruction of the country and due to that the country is witness to a new generation of educated people making great achievements in different fields.
Afghan official to the Islamic Unity Conference praised the coexistence of Shia and Sunni communities in the country and quoted a number of 20 international terrorist groups murdering the civilians.
"We are in pursuit of a life in friendship though the country has turned into a battle filed for rivals and deviate groups have opted Afghanistan for their confrontation" he said.
Faiz Mohammad Uthmani hailed the forces against terrorist groups and demanded Islamic countries not to become the gateway for arms and terrorists enter Afghanistan same way that Afghanistan protects its neighbors from the jeopardy.
He stressed that the statesmen and religious scholars should stand in the same front against extremism and added," To guarantee the security of Afghanistan will boost security in the region and the whole world."
He called recognition of Shia, Sunni and all religious minorities in Afghanistan as an instance of solidarity hailing the peaceful coexistence of them in the country.
According to the Afghan minister the onset to modern Islamic civilization is lifting moral hindrances for realization of Islamic solidarity and that is possible only through resolving suspicions.
