“Iran’s nuclear programme is an Islamic-political plan”
Friday prayer leader of Sidon in Lebanon called Iran’s nuclear program as an Islamic-political plan based on an Islamic, jihadi and an accurate political view.

Sheikh Maher Hamoud, Friday prayer leader of Al Quds Mosque in Sidon, attending a presser on recent incidents of Lebanon and said those who have broken out the clashes in Sidon and other Lebanese cities are after fueling religious intrigues and undermine Islamic unity, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
He condemned the remarks by Ahmed al Assir, Lebanese cleric, warning against the threat of Shia spreading among people and threat of Iran for Lebanon and said,” Ahmed al Assir has to stand responsible for the bloodshed of innocent people because he is the one who tries to wage intrigue with his narrow mindedness.”
He said what Ahmed al Assir does is in fact a blend of arrogance, feeling of superiority and prejudice.
Lebanese Shia cleric called Shia and Sunni Muslims to think wisely and addressed Sunni Muslims to awaken from illusion of counting Iranians as a threat because these illusions are spread by the US, Zionist regime and their puppet Arab rulers.
He also addressed Shia communities to awaken from their previous illusions and said,” Shia Muslims forget your previous misunderstandings because loyalty to Ahlul Bayt (AS) does not need us not to honor the companions of Prophet Mohammad (PBUH).” And added,” Household of Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) and his companions are complementary to each other so that true Islam is maintained.”
Sheikh Maher Hamoud added,” Nuclear plans of Iran are not meant for war and they are unique Islamic-political plans based on an Islamic, jihadi and an accurate political view.”
Friday prayer leader of Sidon urged all regional countries to recognize peaceful nuclear activities of Iran since that will bring a great wealth and development for the country.
