US, Israel wage genocidal war on Islam: Political analyst

A prominent political analyst says the United States and Israel have launched a genocidal war against Muslims throughout the world, Press TV reports.
US, Israel wage genocidal war on Islam: Political analyst
Kevin Barrett, a founding member of the Muslim-Jewish-Christian Alliance, told Press TV on Saturday that Muslims are facing “a genocidal war on Islam.”

Barrett added that the Islamophobic crusade began since the pro-Israel coup d'état on September 11, 2001.

On September 11, 2001, a series of coordinated attacks were carried out in the United States leaving almost 3,000 people dead.

The US, under the administration of former President George W. Bush, invaded Afghanistan in 2001, after claiming that the 9/11 attacks were carried out by members of al-Qaeda harbored by the then Taliban regime in Afghanistan.

Referring to recent crackdown on Iranian channels, Barrett said the real reason behind bans on the Islamic Republic’s media under the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) is that they reveal the truth about many issues, particularly the 9/11.

“That’s the single most important issue that has led to these attempts to shutdown Press TV throughout the West by the Zionist-linked power structure that totally dominates US foreign policy, that donates more than half of the money [used for election campaigns] to American political candidates, that owns every single mainstream media outlet in the US and that controls about 33 percent of global organized crime,” Barrett said.

On December 21, Hispasat took Iran's Press TV and Hispan TV off the air and ordered Overon, a subsidiary satellite company, to stop the transmission of the two international TV channels.

In November, the Hong Kong-based Asia Satellite Telecommunications Co. Ltd. (AsiaSat) also took Iranian channels off the air in East Asia.

In October, Eutelsat SA and Intelsat SA stopped the broadcast of several Iranian satellite channels, citing pressure by the European Union. /SR
