World Catholic leader met with an Iranian board and highlighted the importance of interfaith dialogue urging religious leaders for continuation of the talks.

Pope Benedict XIV, leader of world Catholic community welcomed Iranian board of Muslim thinkers visiting the Vatican for interfaith dialogue.

Mohammad Baqer Khoramshad, head of Iran’s Organization of Culture and Islamic Relations, in this meeting stressed the continuation of such meetings happening in a spiritual atmosphere.

He said,” Extremist secularism is threatening the world with other forms of extremism like violation and desecration of religions.”

He also urged the religious communities to protect religions against the invasions of non-believers.

The 8th round of Islam-Christianity interfaith dialogues were held by prominent figures from both religions in the Vatican.

Iranian board included Mostafa Boroujerdi, Dean of International Relations Faculty, Mohammadreza Dehshiri, Research Deputy at the Organization of Culture and Islamic Relations among other Muslim thinkers from Islamic Republic of Iran./ HK
