“Islamic teachings could propose effective model to fight coronavirus”, expert

Professor of the University of Islamic Denominations highlighted the capabilities of Islamic teachings to propose a successful rolemodel to fight the new coronavirus as the 34th Islamic Unity Conference is set to discuss the “Islamic Cooperation in Facing Calamities and Disasters.”

Hamed Rostami Najafabadi, member of the academic board at iran’s University of Islamic Denominations, in an interview with Taqrib News Agency (TNA) related his views on the 34th Islamic Unity Conference which is scheduled to kick off on October 29th and continue to November 3rd.
 
He referred to the new coronavirus pandemic as a global issue and said to choose such a topic for the 34th Islamic Unity Conference proves their wisdom and concern to fight the current calamity in the world.
 
Iranian professor called the 34th Islamic Unity Conference as a unique opportunity for more cooperation among Muslim countries.
 
"Regarding the high teachings of Islam derived from religious texts and holy Qur'an, an Islamic role model to confront the novel coronavirus can be proposed to the world people" said the Professor.
 
He also referred to the available Islamic finances and proposed formation of NGOs and volunteer forces to assist beyond all borders.
 
Hamed Rostami Najafabadi made the comments on the eve of the 34th Islamic Unity Conference to begin on Thursday October 29th and continue to November 3rd.
 
34th Islamic Unity Conference will be discussing "Islamic Cooperation in Face of Calamities and Disasters."
