Sectarian differences between Shia and Sunni did were all resolved following Islamic Revolution and that was due to the inspiration of late Imam Khomeini (RA).

Akhoond Abdulqafour Sayyadi, professor of Sunni seminary in Iran’s Golestan province in an interview with Taqrib News Agency (TNA) related on the achievements of the Islamic Revolution and hailed the late founder of Islamic Revolution, Imam Khomeini (RA) for Islamic Unity inspiration.
Iranian Sunni cleric noted that the inspiration of Imam Khomeini (RA) in naming the Islamic Unity Week settled two historical controversies as basis for bringing Muslims from different denominations closer.
He lauded the annual ceremonies of the Islamic Unity Week to convene Shia and Sunni scholars from across the world of Islam; hence, Islamic Unity Week is a blessing achieved by 1979 revolution.
Akhoond Abdulqafour Seyyedi honored the Shia and Sunni for defending Iran during the Iraqi war and added the freedom of Sunni community to practice their religious traditions as a great achievement of the Islamic Revolution.
Iranian Sunni scholar made the comments on the eve of the 41st Islamic Revolution anniversary.
