Al-Aqsa Mosque issue should be voiced in all Islamic gatherings

The current critical situation in the region and across the globe necessitates the al-Aqsa Mosque issue to be voiced in all Islamic and religious gatherings and not merely during Islamic Unity Week.

Molavi Nazir Ahmad, representative of the southeastern province of Sistan and Baluchistan in the Assembly of Experts in an interview with Taqrib News Agency (TNA) referred to the theme for 33rd Islamic Unity Conference stressing full support for al-Aqsa Mosque against the illogical move made by the US President Donald Trump.
 
Member of the Supreme Council at the World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought said,” The current situation in the Middle East region and across the globe necessitates that the issue of al-Aqsa Mosque is highlighted not only in the Islamic Unity Conferences but also in all Islamic and religious gatherings as part of the Muslims’ mission in regards to the holy mosque is carried out.”
 
Iranian Sunni scholar counted the issue of Palestine as a priority for world Muslims and urged for the topic of annual Islamic Unity Conference to be chosen from the most issues in the world of Islam.
 
Molavi Salami hailed the achievements of naming a week after Islamic unity and noted the objective has not been fully achieved yet saying,” Vigilance of Muslims is among the ends gained after naming a week as Islamic unity as the move to highlight the issue in Muslim gatherings and media should be counted as a great success.”
 
Iranian top cleric proposed that other Muslim states also host the annual event.
 
33rd edition of Islamic Unity Conference will be held on November 14-16, 2019 as participants from across the globe will discuss “Islamic Unity in Defense of al-Quds.”
