"Mahdism is certainly one of the eternal legacies of the world of Islam, which does not belong to a certain religion or sect," stressed Interim Friday Prayer Leader in Gonbade Kavous, Hojjatol Islam Val Moslemin Ali Akbar Nosratie, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
The religious cleric went on to say, "One of the descendants of Islam's Prophet (PBUH) is to rise, administering justice and riding the world of evil."
"If the world does not remain except for one day, according to a famous narration from Sunni scholars, God Almighty will send one of my descendants to fill the earth with justice, as it is filled ,now, with oppression," Hojjatol Islam Val Moslemin Nosratie enlarged on his line and quoted Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) as saying.
"In many standing narrations quoted in various sects and religions, Mahdism has been emphasized, and no disagreement exists between Shiite and Sunni denominations with this connection," underlined Gonbade Kavous Interim Friday Prayer Leader.
The religious thinker pointed out, "The Shiite believe that the great grandson of the Prophet of Islam has been born, waiting for the real (loyal and reliable) people; given that, he does not appear but is present."
Hojjatol Islam Val Moslemin Ali Akbar Nosratie went on to stress that the vast majority of Sunni people are of the opinion that the Prophet (PBUH) will be born later.
