Founder of Al-Zahra seminary, Akhound Toy Qoli Gol Cheshme in an exclusive interview with Taqrib News Agency (TNA) rapped Saudi crown prince for his recent remarks about Imam Mahdi (PBUH) noting, "Sunni people are assured of the Imam Mahdi’s eventual reappearance and this is what Saudi crown prince is not aware of."
Saudi deputy crown prince and defense minister recently in his groundless remark said it was impossible to talk with a power that was planning for the return of the Imam Mahdi. With this connection Sunni cleric in Golestan lectured KSA crown prince for his remarks stressing, "Saudi crown prince still does not know Sunni people have a firm belief in Prophet's (PBUH) Household and Imam Mahdi's (PBUH) eventual reappearance."
"He should refer to Sunni resources in this regard and then talk about the infallible Imam (PBUH)," stressed the religious cleric noting such remarks fan the flame of showdowns and hatred among Muslim nations.
"His lack of experience and young age will have negative consequences for Islamic Ummah," pointed out Akhound Toy Qoli Gol Cheshme.
"It is incumbent upon clerics, elites and religious thinkers to oppose such remarks," stressed the Founder of Al-Zahra seminary urging clerics not to remain silent with this connection.
Shias and Sunnis believe that Imam Mahdi is the prophesied redeemer, who will bring peace and justice to the world.
Their teachings postulate that he will reappear once the world is about to be totally overcome by tyranny, and he will emancipate it from the clutches of evil.
