Enemies irked by alliance of people with Islamic Revolution, government

14 Jan 2018 - 12:35

Prominent Sunni cleric from Iran’s Gonbad-e Kavus city called for strengthening unity and cooperation among different Islamic denominations warning that the enemies are irked by the support of the people for Islamic Revolution and the government.

Akhoond Aman Igdari, manager of the Qur’an school in Igdar Sofla, Gonbad-e Kavus, in an interview with Taqrib News Agency (TNA) stressed that the recent unrest in Iran proved that the Iranian nation abhors and will never join the perpetrators in protests in a bid to undermine the public security.

He noted the disavowal of Islamic law from anyone who violates the rights of the people and vandalizes the public property saying that the perpetrators should pay for the damage they have created.

“We should maintain our support for the Islamic Revolution and the government status quo away from any violence or extremism” he said.

Manager of the Qur’anic center hailed the vigilance of the local people to prevent any provocation and stressed necessity of legal pursuit into the demands of the people.

He said,” Legal pursuit of the demands are apt for knowledgeable citizens who do not follow illegal methods to voice their protests.”

According to the Sunni figure constructive criticism has always been beneficial for all and that to fulfill the public necessities summons public effort by all.
