"We must know the components of Islamic civilization, then we can evaluate its role in the unity of the Islamic Ummah," stressed the President of the Supreme Council of the World Forum for Proximity of the Islamic Schools of Thought.

 

President of the Supreme Council of the World Forum for Proximity of the Islamic Schools of Thought, Ayatollah Mohammad Ali Taskhiri in an exclusive interview with Taqrib News Agency (TNA) detailed his views on the features of "Modern Islamic Civilization" and its comprising components. noting ,"We must know the components of Islamic civilization, then we can evaluate its role in the unity of the Islamic Ummah."

Ayatollah Mohammad Ali Taskhiri held People's beliefs, Sharia and law, human tendencies, ethics, principles in which people believe, the history of that nation, their slogans, and sacred constructs as the main and leading factors effective in forming a "Modern Islamic Civilization".

"When we strive to revive Islamic civilization, we try in fact to promot Islamic unity," pointed out the religious cleric placing stress on the prime importance of the part solidarity among Muslims can play in forming Modern civilization.  

President of the Supreme Council of the World Forum for Proximity of the Islamic Schools of Thought beckoned to the role of facilities in advancing the set objectives in the World of Islam noting in this arena, Muslims should stand by each other and work in tandem. 

"Humane trends and scientific developments are of other factors providing Muslims with the proper ground to have modern civilization," underscored the religious thinker.

Elsewhere in his remarks, President of Supreme Council of Iran top unity center urged Muslims from all sects to abide by the Islamic and Quranic principles and follow the lifestyle of Muhammad Prophet's (PBUH) Household.

The religious cleric urged Muslims from all denominations to be united and refrain from any measure or step leading to disunity and dispersion in the World of Islam.

Ayatollah Mohammad Ali Taskhiri enlarged on his line noting Muslims have their same believes, Sharia, trends, and humane values demanding Muslim nations to give their consummate attention to their shared principles and values instead of highlighting their minor differences.

"According to holy book of Quran, prophets follow two objectives, the first one is building a society whose members worship God Almighty and the second one is countering oppressors and standing against infidels," underlined the religious cleric.

"The victories and failures of the Islamic civilization stem from just one factor, and that is whether people are close to Islam or distance themselves  from the divine religion," highlighted President of the Supreme Council of the World Forum for Proximity of the Islamic Schools of Thought.
 
The religious cleric beckoned to a verse of holy Quran, "And those who disbelieved are allies of one another. If you do not do so, there will be fitnah on earth and great corruption," sternly warned Muslims of the fallouts of ignoring Islamic principles.

President of Supreme Council of the World Forum for Proximity of the Islamic Schools of Thought urged Muslims to work in tandem and use all their capacities and potentials so as to form a united Ummah and a Modern Islamic Civilization.

"If we don't revive this civilization, we will face many a challenge and setback," pointed out the religious cleric noting these setbacks and problems cannot be braved and solved unless we set our Quranic objectives.

Former head of the World Forum for Proximity of the Islamic Schools of Thought urged Muslims to take Muhammad Prophet (PBUH) as a model in their lives, urging them to abide by Quranic instructions.

The religious clerics stressed without following Quranic teachings and principles Muslim Ummah cannot be a model for the people Worldwide, noting being a model for the world without taking the cognizance of the holy book of Quran is not possible.

Some 31 years ago with the cooperation of Shiite and Sunni clerics, the Islamic unity conference was organized so as to boost unity in the World of Islam; unity and rapproachement can be counted as the major concerns for many a cleric, thinker and leading Muslim intellectual worldwide.
