The U.S also designated 30,000 square-kilometers for PKK terrorists in the countryside of Syria’s Hasakah, Raqqa, Deir ez-Zor and Aleppo, with the terror group occupying more than 3,000 towns within the borders of these four provinces.
Former head of Deir ez-Zor Military Council İmed Said spoke exclusively to Yeni Şafak daily and unveiled the striking details about Pentagon’s terror moves in the region, stating that the U.S. covered all the expenses of PKK terrorists for over two years as the number of armed terrorists in these occupied territories exceeded 65,000.
He also underscored the number of foreign terrorists in Syria that has reached a staggering number.
“More than 40 percent of those brought to Syrian territories as land forces are foreign fighters. Mercenaries from over 25 countries come to Syria to support the PKK who are mostly Iraqi and Turkish citizens. The number of people coming from European countries and the U.S. cannot be underestimated as well,” he said.
No country has reached this number in the world
Stressing the intensified efforts of the U.S. to back PKK terrorists in the region, “There are about 65,000 – 70,000 terrorists in the occupation line; however the U.S. makes fortifications for a 150,000-strong army,” Said said.
“Currently, this region has turned into the world’s largest terror swamp,” he underlined.
“There is no country in the world that has as many as terrorists as Syria. Moreover, all overt terror activities of the PKK are trying to be veiled using the pretext of Daesh.”
Pentagon’s intense air traffic in Syria
Underscoring Washington’s protection of PKK terrorists, he said, “At the beginning, air traffic was always busy under the pretext of fighting Daesh. Then, it continued with the aim of protecting the terror organization and for weapons delivery. The U.S.’s intense aerial traffic in Manbij, Raqqa and Hasakah regions has already exceeded disturbing limits.”
The U.S has about 20 camps used for the training of terrorists in northern and eastern Syria and has supplied the PYD terror organization and its armed wing, the YPG, with more than 5,000 truckloads of weapons to allegedly use in the fight against Daesh, despite Ankara’s warnings that the fact they are the Syrian offshoots of the PKK terror organization.
