Navigating though years of unending intractable problems, it would on the face of seem Lebanese eagerly welcome normalcy and gear up for the first parliamentary election in nine years.  People of all walks of life, in and out of the country, cast their ballot so as to contribute to a better future for Lebanon.
 
The event in which more than 900 candidates compete for the 128 seats up for grabs is expected to bring changes not only in political but also in economic area. Reform and cooperation in such a political turmoil Lebanese go through can be a panacea for a country in dire straits.

 
Lebanese are all asked by senior officials and prominent figures to grab the
very first opportunity provided in nine years to cast their vote in a general election on May 6 and promote solidarity and unity of their land.
 
The event can be described as one-of-a-kind in the entire history of the country as in coming days, Lebanon republic is witnessed to its first expat voting with Lebanese expatriates partaking in early election. Poling station in Egypt, United Arab Emirate, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Oman, and Kuwait allow Lebanese to mark and observe their national event. The golden chance, similarly, is offered to their compatriot living in Europe, Australia, Africa and US.


In Lebanese parliament, the 128 seats are divided evenly - 64 for Muslims including Druze, 64 for Christians with the foresaid two halves are further split among 11 total political factions . Regarding demographic makeup, each one of electoral districts has its own seats. 
 
It is noteworthy that the political event were supposed to be held in
2013. Having said that, the failure of the Labenese Parliament in electing a new President ended up in the extendion of the term until 2017 and later 2018.

 
Hezbollah's stance on the election

As the political atmosphere, a head of the event, heated up in Lebanon, hopefuls tried their very utmost to sway voters with an eye to win the election and unseat their rivals.
 
In this regard, Hezbollah Secretary General Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah urged voters to take their decision in clear eyed. The political face also lectured the U.S and Saudi Arabia for their destructive interference aiming at resistant movement.

Saying his group seeks a fair election, Nasrallah urges all political factions to team up and work in tandem as in his terms, "Lebanon can be built only through cooperation." He asked Lebanese people whose lives clouded with stress and fear to register a high-turnout election in their history, taking step for braving the standing problems the country is wrestling with.
