Coexistence of religions, manifestation of national unity in Iran

A group of religious leaders attended in Iran attended interfaith meeting held in the province of Isfahan stressing that four decades of coexistence among monotheistic religions in the country manifests national unity achieved in the light of Islamic Republic system.

Representatives of religious minorities in Iran attended the meeting on religious freedom in Iran hailing recognition of rights of different religions and maintaining their rights as Iranian citizens an honor achieved by the Islamic Revolution, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
 
Representatives of Christianity, Judaism and Zoroastrianism in this meeting reiterated that the coexistence of different religions in Iran in 21st century is not maintained even in some western claimants of democracy.
 
According to Iran constitution citizenship rights of monotheistic religions are equally maintained including legal equality, protection of life, property, job, freedom of speech, Iranian citizenship, and participation in domestic affairs and also equality of blood money for Muslims and non-Muslims.
 
Representative of Zoroastrian community in this meeting denounced the negative propaganda targeting image of Islamic Republic based on limitation for religious minorities.
 
He referred to coexistence of all religions in Iran and quoted the late founder of Islamic Revolution, late Imam Khomeini (RA) calling Iran the country and monotheism as ideology of all Iranians.
