Boosting friendship among religions, achievement of Islamic Revolution
Senior Iranian cleric attended the interfaith meeting held on the eve of 40th anniversary of Islamic Revolution and hailed expansion of friendly ties among different religions an achievement of the revolution.

Ayatollah Mohammad Ali Taskhiri, advisor of the Supreme Leader in Muslim world affairs, in his remarks in conference on spiritual solidarity of religions for honor of Iran referred to recommendations of holy Qur’an for logical dialogue among people hailing the friendly relations among different religions in Iran as an achievement of 1979 revolution in Iran, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
Top cleric quoted Qur’anic verse and counted logical dialogue as the first condition for dialogue in a society.
Head of the supreme council at World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought referred to mutual respect as the second basis for dialogue.
According to Ayatollah Taskhiri the proper ambiance is a counting measure for dialogue referring to the third condition for talks between different religions.
He touched upon capacity of interfaith dialogues for creating and expanding friendship among people and said,” Followers of different religions can know each other and settle their disagreements in order to highlight their commonalities.”
The cleric made the remarks in the conference on spiritual solidarity of religions for honor of Iran held by Iran’s Organization of Culture and Islamic Relations.
Attended by representatives of different religions, the conference was opened by recitation of lines from holy book of Islam, Christianity and Zoroastrianism.
