Germany’s MC Group mulling Iran proposal for religious tourism

Iranian cultural attaché in Germany has met with head of leading communication agency, MC Group, proposing plans for religious tourism to Iran in an attempt to introduce Shia culture to the tourists.

In a meeting between Seyyed Ali Mojani, Iran’s cultural attaché in Germany and Harald Zulauf, CEO of leading advertising agency, MC Group, both sides discussed the grounds for cultural cooperation and launching religious tourism to Iran in line with introducing Shia Islam to the world, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
 
CEO of MC Group in this meeting referred to his three visits to Iran and proposals for cultural and tourism cooperation in line with the developing field of nation branding.
 
He touched upon previous discussions and activities of the Iranian cultural attaché in Germany to introduce the country including publication of some books, holding conferences and deployment of German elites to Iran for more details as part of efforts for cultural cooperation between the two countries.
 
Iranian cultural attaché said,” Besides the conventional tourism in Iran with historical sites as the tourist attraction, the line between the holy city of Mashhad in Iran and Najaf in Iraq can be an idea to attract Iranian investment institutes to draw religious tourists in search of Shia history.”
