Iranian summit final statement demands UN to take action on Yemen crisis

Iranian capital of Tehran has hosted major summit on the critical situation in Yemen demanding the United Nations to halt arming of the militant groups in the country and take action on the humanitarian situation of Yemeni people.

Iran’s Ahlul Bayt (AS) World Assembly has held the first summit to support Yemeni people as the final statement by the meeting demanded the international organizations and rights group to take influential stance on the humanitarian situation in the impoverished Arab country, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
 
Participants to the summit on Yemen denounced the oppressions imposed by world arrogant powers and the US, Israeli regime, Saudi Arabia trio on the Yemeni nation.
 
They also alluded to the international surveys regarding Yemen among the worst humanitarian catastrophes of the present century as the inaction by regional countries has provided led to worsening of the situation for Yemeni nation.
 
Final statement of the summit to support Yemen also stressed that the destruction of social and economic infrastructures in Yemen targets the national and historical identity of Yemeni nation.
 
Participants in this conference demanded the United Nations Security Council to take firm stance and take measures for ending the blockade of the Yemeni nation.
 
The statement also urged international organizations to halt sending arms to the assailants as a prelude for immediate stop of conflicts in the country.
 
“Brutal bombardment of Yemen, directly carried out by Saudi-led anti-Yemen coalition, has led to genocide and destruction of the infrastructures in the country” read part of the statement calling international organizations to issue orders for immediate end to airstrikes on Yemeni people.
 
First summit to support Yemeni people was held by Iran’s Ahlul Bayt (AS) World Forum on December 18, 2019 in the Iranian capital of Tehran.
