Enemies divide Muslims over their benefits
Molana Abdul Hamid, prayer leader of the Sunni community in Zahedan, Iranian southeastern Province of Sistan and Baluchistan, stressed necessity of Islamic unity amid the present situation in the Islamic countries highlighting justice, tolerance, respect for sanctities and also stressing the commonalities among Islamic denominations as ways for materializing solidarity among Muslims, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).

He referred to verse 103 from chapter Ali Imran recommending Muslims to maintain unity and said,” We are amid critical situation when enemies of Islam spark division among Muslims only to achieve their political, cultural and economic objectives.”

The cleric reiterated Islamic solidarity a mission for all Muslims and a feature in the developed countries saying,” Developed nations across the globe form unions to improve their status and achieve interests then why should not Muslims convene for the benefits of Islam?”

He vowed that once Muslims join each other in a body they will turn into an unconquerable and undividable power.

In order to achieve Islamic unity, benefits of Islam and Muslims should be prioritized to other issues.

The Sunni cleric counted tolerance for minor differences and focusing commonalities as other tactics to materialize Islamic solidarity.

“By unity we do not mean to dissolve the denominations in one another but to focus their attention on their commonalities while each school of thought follows its Fiq’h” said Molana Abdul Hamid.

Top Iranian Sunni scholar made the remarks in the international congress on unity of Muslim world students held in Sistan and Baluchistan.
