First volume of “Qur’anic Encyclopedia of Hajj” published

The first volume of Qur’anic encyclopedia of Hajj is published by research center of culture and Qur’an studies co-authored by a group of Iranian researchers in a bid to compile the studies on the Islamic pillar.


Ali Khorassani, Mohammad Akbari Karmozdi, Ali Modabber and a number of researchers at the research center of culture and Qur’anic studies have made the joint effort to publish the first volume of the Qur’anic encyclopedia on Hajj to provide those interested on Islamic studies with a compilation of the information on Hajj, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
 
The book is particularly important due to projection of Qur’anic view in explaining the entries on Hajj and the two holy mosques.
 
The first volume of the encyclopedia include a range of entries from Ababil (starting with the first Persian letter sounding ‘a’) to Hajar al-Aswad (Black Stone) which begins with the eighth letter in Persian alphabet.
 
Hajj is a key pillar of Islam and the second largest gathering of the Muslims across the globe which is mandated at least once for all those physically and financially capable of performing the ceremony.
