Enemies in pursuit of undermining Iran’s religious coexistence

Deputy of Iranian president warned of expanding hatred in society and said enemies are in pursuit of undermining the coexistence among different ethnical and religious groups in Iran calling that a block for development for the country.

Hujjat-ul-Islam Ali Younesi, presidential advisor in ethnic groups and religious minority affairs, met with archbishop of the Azerbaijan Armenians in Urmia warning of provoking ethnicities and expansion of hatred in the country as ground for undermining security, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
 
He highlighted the role of religious scholars from different faiths in boosting interfaith solidarity and said,” The objective of all holy religions is to guide man to Almighty God a reason which will expand the culture of coexistence among different faiths.”
 
Shia cleric hailed diversity of ethnical groups in Iran and said,” This diversity is also stressed in the holy book of Islam.”
 
Hujjat-ul-Islam Younesi also referred to indiscriminate view of the Islamic Republic of Iran and the Supreme Leader on different ethnical and religious groups.
 
Gregor Chifchyan, archbishop of Azerbaijan Armenians also lauded the cooperation of Muslim and Christian community in Iran for development of the country and called the interfaith solidarity of the communities as imperishable.
