Dean of the faculty of religions in the Iranian holy city of Qom highlighted religious proximity and interfaith dialogue for preventing extremism and violence.

Ahmadreza Meftah, dean of the faculty of religions attended the presser held ahead of theocentricism in religions stressing interfaith dialogue as a constant pursuit of the University of Religions and Denominations highlighting that as block to prevent extremism and violence, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
 
He hailed the upcoming international conference on the eighth Shia Imam and interfaith dialogue as grounds for bringing the hearts of different religions closer.
 
“Islam recognizes dialogue and focus on religious commonalities as best way to know the truth” said the cultural figure and referred to importance of interfaith dialogue originating from true Islamic civilization as means to introduce the holy religion.
 
Dean of the faculty of religions reiterated,” Interfaith dialogue proves the possibilities for unprejudiced and respectful ways equally accessible for different religions to discuss misconceptions.”
 
A major objective in the upcoming conference on Imam Reza (AS) and interfaith dialogue is to introduce the northeastern Iranian city of Mashhad as scientific hub of the country.
