Israel strikes 80 sites across Gaza

29 Oct 2018 - 20:35

Israeli warplanes struck a number of sites across the Gaza Strip overnight and in the early hours of this morning.

A spokesman for the Israeli army said more than 80 sites had been targeted in the air raids.
Our fighter jets are striking terror targets throughout #Gaza, following dozens of rockets fired at #Israel over the last 12 hours.

The bombing destroyed a site near the Indonesian hospital in the northern Gaza Strip, damaging the medical centre, the Ministry of Health said.
Rockets also struck Khan Yunis in the southern Gaza Strip and destroyed an unoccupied residential building near the Yarmouk stadium in the centre of Gaza City.
Israeli occupation forces regularly strike sites in the besieged Gaza Strip claiming they target resistance sites, however, thousands of Palestinians have been left homeless as a result.
These frequent incursions and the sniper fire at the Gaza-Israel fence have led to hundreds of deaths since Palestinians launched popular protests calling for the end of the 11-year siege and for their right to return to the homes from which their families were forced out to make way for the formation of the state of Israel.
Israel has come under international criticism for its response to the unarmed protesters taking part in the “Great March of Return” which was launched in Gaza on 30 March.
