Shia jurisprudent hails Arba’een as global ‘unparalleled’ convention
Top Iranian jurisprudent said participation of Muslims in Arba’een boosts Islamic solidarity and revives the lifestyle of Imam Hussein (AS).

Ayatollah Jafar Sobhani, prominent Shia jurisprudent has hailed the multi-million convention of Muslims for Arba’een ceremony calling that an ‘unparalleled’ gathering in the world, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
The cleric slammed the enemies for leading Iranophobia as plot to provoke the world calling Islamic Republic as a safe haven for all.
He called Arba’een as unifying motto of Shia community across the globe and lauded the massive participation of Muslims from different countries in the commemoration ceremony for third Shia Imam.
“To mark Arba’een has turned to a vital part of Shia lifestyle since the massive participation of Muslims in the ceremony has turned to a serious concern for enemies” noted the top cleric and added,” The history of human kind has not witnessed another instance of multi-million gathering for a particular objective while last year Arba’een pilgrims attending the ceremony have hit a record number of 10 million ceremony.”
Arba’een is the anniversary of 40th
day after martyrdom of Imam Hussein (AS), third Shia Imam and grandson of Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) martyred together with 72 of his household members and loyal companions fighting the tyrant ruler of his time in the Battle of Karbala back in 680 AD.
