'Arbaein can manifest Muslims' unity, solidarity': religious cleric

"Arbaein carries the message of divine Islam about the necessity of refraining from religious prejudices and promoting Islamic solidarity," stressed the religious thinker and cleric, Hojjatol Islam Husseini Ashkourie.

"Arbaein (the 40th day after Ashoura) carries the message of divine Islam about the necessity of refraining from religious prejudices and promoting Islamic solidarity, " stressed the religious thinker and cleric, Hojjatol Islam Seyyed Sadeq Husseini Ashkourie, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).

Addressing a religious ceremoney, Hojjatol Islam Husseini Ashkourieent went on to note, "all Muslims, both Shias and Sunnis, love and respect the infallible Imam Hussein (PBUH) and true Muslims follow his path in abiding by Islamic principles and teachings."

"Karbala tragedy which is marked by millions of Muslims across the globe has the highest potentiality for increasing unity and rapprochement among Muslims nations," pointed out the religious cleric uring Muslims to preserve their unity against their common enemies.

Some 40 days after Ashura tragedy (tenth day of the lunar calendar month of Muharram), Muslims observe Arba’een to  pay tribute to the grandson of Islam's Prophet (PBUH), who was martyred in the desert plains of the city along with his 72 companions some 14 centuries ago.
