Turkey has recordings to prove Khashoggi’s death

Turkish authorities allegedly have audio and video recordings which prove that Saudi journalist Jamal Khashoggi was killed and torn to pieces inside the Saudi consulate in Istanbul, The Washington Post claimed on Thursday.
Turkey has recordings to prove Khashoggi’s death
“The recordings show that a Saudi security team detained Khashoggi in the consulate after he walked in [on] October 2 to obtain an official document before his upcoming wedding, then killed him and dismembered his body,” US government officials told The Washington Post.
A source with knowledge of the recording added: “You can hear his voice and the voices of men speaking Arabic […] You can hear how he was interrogated, tortured and then murdered”.
Saudi Arabia denies that Khashoggi disappeared inside the Saudi consulate in Istanbul, instead claiming he left the building shortly after entering it.
Turkish authorities said on Wednesday that they had traced 15 Saudis, including security officials, who arrived in Istanbul on two planes and visited the consulate while Khashoggi was inside.
On Tuesday, US President Donald Trump expressed concern over Khashoggi’s disappearance but said that he saw no reason to block Saudi Arabian investments in the US, fearing it would move its money into Russia and China.
