Indian minister hails Muslims for preventing spread of radicalism

Indian top official hails Muslims over preventing spread of radicalism in the country stressing that religion has nothing to do with terrorism.


Rajnath Singh, India’s Minister for Home Affairs, in his latest remarks at the 16th Hindustan Times Leadership Summit hailed the Muslim community in the country for not letting radicalism spread in India, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
 
He said,” The number of terrorist attacks has reduced from 6’000 in 1995 to 360 in 2017” as the Indian minister dismissed terrorism a ‘crime against humanity’ which is not linked to any religion or caste.”
 
The comments are expressed as the Opposition blamed the government for eruption of regional violence in recent months.
 
Indian official hailed all Islamic countries for condemning terrorism calling Pakistan to take practical measures for that.
