Lebanese cleric calls for launching counter-terrorism front
Sheikh Sohayb Habli, member of Lebanon’s resistance clerics union, has issued a message denouncing the terrorist attack in the Iranian city of Ahvaz killing 25 armed forces and civilians, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).

He slammed Takfiri and terrorist groups for revenging their hostility against Islamic Republic of Iran in the attack on armed forces and civilians attending military parade.

The cleric hailed active role of Iran in confrontation with terrorists funded by the US and its Arab allies and said,” These puppet states are clearly voicing their solidarity with the Zionist regime of Israel and reveal their hostility with Islamic Republic of Iran.”

Senior member of resistance clerics union urged for launching a regional frontline against pro-terrorist countries in a bid to prevent threats posed to governments fighting global terrorism.

Sheikh Sohayb Habli called Iran as a major axis of resistance and said the recent terrorist attack in Ahvaz in retaliation for Tehran’s counter-terrorism activities.

Lebanese cleric also demanded moderate Sunni scholars to stand against terrorist movements and prevent injection of their thoughts to the younger generations.

Four terrorists from al-Ahwaziyah terrorist group opened fire on the armed forces and civilians killing 25 people. Three of the gunmen were killed with the fourth one succumbing to his injuries later.
