congratulated reporters and journalist on National Reporter's Day urging media to inform people and warn against the negative consequences of extremism, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
The religious cleric beckoned to the intrigues by enemies and arrogant powers in a bid to confront divine Islam through extremist groups demanding the media to make a move and form a united front against willful measures and anti-Islamic movements so as to warn people worldwide against the standing threats posed by enemies.
Iran has marked National Reporter’s Day commemorating the anniversary of the killing of an Iranian reporter in Afghanistan.
August 8 was designated National Reporter’s Day in Iran after Taliban militants killed Mahmoud Saremi, the correspondent of the Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA), along with eight Iranian diplomats, in the northern Afghan city of Mazar-i-Sharif in 1998.
