“Hajj, factor for solidarity of Muslims” cleric

Representative of the Supreme Leader in Hajj and pilgrimage affairs attended the ceremony to bid farewell with the first group of Iranian Hajj pilgrims leaving the country for Saudi Arabia and called Hajj as the factor which unites the whole world of Islam.

Hujjat-ul-Islam Ali Ghazi Askar, representative of the Supreme Leader in Hajj and Pilgrimage Affairs, hailed Hajj as a unifying factor in the world of Islam recommended Iranian pilgrims to make the best of the spiritual ambiance of Hajj rituals, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
 
He called Iranian pilgrims to perfectly represent Ahlul Bayt (AS) and high culture of Shia community.
 
The cleric also referred to potential hardships of the Hajj rituals and demanded Iranian pilgrims to make the best of spiritual atmosphere with appropriate schedule.
 
Hujjat-ul-Islam Ghazi Askar also vowed efforts by all organizations and institutions related to Hajj affairs and stressed security of pilgrims as a top priority for Iranian Hajj authorities.
 
270 Iranians have left the country as the first group of nearly 86’000 pilgrims to perform Hajj pilgrimage 2018.
 
The annual ritual is the greatest congregation for millions of Muslims from all Islamic denominations who head for Mecca and Medina to carry out the pilgrimage between 19-25 August, 2018.
