Top Iraqi jurisprudent slammed crimes committed by Takfiri groups and stressed Islam’s dismissal of any terrorism accusations.

Ayatollah Sheikh Bashir Najafi, prominent Iraqi scholar, met with German delegations led by the ambassador to Iraq, Cyrill Nunn said the holy religion of Islam is clear from any terrorist teachings, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
 
The cleric referred to the principles of Islam and noted patriotism as a principle of religious beliefs.
 
He also counted protection of country and serving one’s nation as a basic principle of Islam because home country is the spiritual mother for any people.
 
” Terrorism has no relations either with Islam or with humanity” Senior Iraqi cleric said and expressed regret that religious beliefs are misused as the pretext for warmongering policies and destruction of countries.
 
The insecurity brought to Iraq since the US invasion in 2003 has made the Middle East country a target of several terrorist attacks almost all blamed on the holy religion of Islam.
